About the Role

The Global LF/Holdings Risk Framework & Policy Lead will be responsible for driving the establishment of a robust framework that enables effective risk management in relation to First Line of Defense functions across global Legacy Franchises / Holdings.

This role involves collaborating closely with Global, Cluster, and Country cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen the firm's risk management capabilities. The incumbent should have excellent business knowledge, technical execution skills, and communication skills to engage stakeholders, drive implementation, and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and driving enhancements to the policy and associated governance framework.
  • Fostering a culture of control and strategic centricity and accountability by leading efforts to identify, anticipate, measure, monitor, mitigate, and report enterprise-wide risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional Risk and second-line units to identify linkage between different aspects and drive faster decision making.
  • Providing guidance to stakeholders on consistent application of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles in business-as-usual risk management.
  • Identifying gaps and recommending remediations for gaps across required policies/standards/procedures.
  • Influencing outcomes across 1LOD and 2LOD by providing credible challenge as needed prior to implementation and release of new policies.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and updating materials for senior management and Citi Policy Committee / Group level discussions.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 10-12+ years of experience in risk and controls, operational, and compliance efforts in financial services.
  • Experience building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing change.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to pivot between team and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage concurrent projects and deliverables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effectively work in situations requiring analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with various groups like Independent Risk, Operational Risk Management, and Compliance teams.
  • Drive timely results with good organizational skills and structured work approach.
  • Ability to critically think and make decisions in high-risk scenarios.
  • Able to interface with various levels of management in Global/Region/Business and across functions.
