Research Opportunity

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their care. Our research team is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in cancer genetics and genomic medicine.

This role involves analyzing large-scale genomic and clinical datasets to uncover genetic factors contributing to cancer predisposition and develop accurate cancer risk prediction models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and analyze multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics) to derive biological insights
  • Apply statistical and machine learning models to identify cancer risk biomarkers
  • Integrate clinical, environmental, and lifestyle data to create predictive risk models
  • Develop and implement computational pipelines for next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis

Key Competencies And Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in analyzing large-scale genomics datasets
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other bioinformatics languages
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, and high-performance computing environments
