Senior Materials Professional

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to manage our global materials library. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving material efficiency, cost leverage, and innovation across our apparel brands.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in material governance frameworks, lifecycle management, and digital transformation initiatives. They will lead the execution of processes to rationalize material development requests, reduce redundancies, and maintain metadata and data attributes.

This leadership role requires someone with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Rationalize material development requests and reduce redundancies.
  • Maintain and govern metadata and data attributes.
  • Lead seasonal and lifecycle core material reviews.
  • Partner with sourcing and material leaders.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of fabric developers.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture that supports innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on fabric development and lifecycle management.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Own recommendations to standardize material needs and identify leverage opportunities with suppliers.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Material Development leaders and brand teams.
  • Materials Lifecycle Management:
  • Oversee the circulation, inventory, and lifecycle planning of materials.
  • Ensure physical libraries are maintained in key global locations.
  • Manage material quality evaluations.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify overlaps and opportunities for consolidation.
