Job Description

A professional educator responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children.

  1. Design and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons to promote learning and skill development.
  2. Promote social, emotional, and intellectual growth through play-based learning, storytelling, arts and crafts, and interactive methods.
  3. Assist children in developing basic skills such as counting, letter recognition, and fine motor skills.
  4. Observe and evaluate children's behavior, progress, and learning abilities to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Collaborate with parents or guardians to address concerns, provide updates on their child's development, and foster a positive partnership between home and school.
  6. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes a sense of well-being and security for all children.
  7. Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all children in their care, providing a supportive and inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of each child.
  8. Guide children in developing good habits, such as hygiene, sharing, and following routines, to promote a sense of responsibility and self-discipline.
  9. Provide positive reinforcement, encouragement, and support to promote self-esteem, confidence, and a growth mindset in each child.
  10. Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to maintain a healthy, productive, and respectful work environment that supports the success of all students and staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Certification: Diploma in early childhood education.

Experience: Prior experience working with young children in a preschool setting is preferred.

Patience and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, while engaging children in a positive and respectful manner.

Creativity and Flexibility: Possess creativity to design engaging and stimulating activities that cater to different learning styles and individual needs, while being flexible in adapting teaching methods to accommodate various scenarios.

Organization and Time Management: Effective organizational and time management skills to manage a classroom, plan educational activities, create and follow schedules, maintain records, and manage resources efficiently.

Physical Stamina: Physically fit and able to actively engage with children throughout the day, demonstrating stamina and energy to meet the demands of the role.
