Senior Design Manager

Job Description:

  • Oversight of civil infrastructure design (rail, road, viaduct) and adherence to regulations, safety standards, and engineering codes.
  • Review of tender documents, drawings, and specifications for feasibility, risk, and constructability.
  • Leadership in the development of construction methodologies, technical proposals, and method statements to enhance competitiveness.
  • Technical direction in roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and related civil works.
  • Approval of design deliverables, shop drawings, and technical submissions with focus on quality, constructability, and value engineering.
  • Coordination with QS, planning, BIM, and procurement teams; engagement with suppliers/subcontractors for efficient solutions.
  • Site visits, feasibility studies, and risk assessments; implementation of mitigation measures as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by a relevant governing body.
  • Primavera P6 certification preferred.
  • 10-15 years' experience in civil infrastructure design, including tender and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore design codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous.
