This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic community hospital setting. As a Therapy Care Specialist, you will play a key role in preparing patients for therapy sessions by efficiently coordinating logistics and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for therapy sessions by coordinating logistics and resources.
- Assist therapists with daily treatment plans, including supporting patients during walking exercises and providing basic care training.
- Employ electrophysical agents for pain relief under the prescription of qualified therapists.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment timetables and portering schedules.
- Contribute to billing processes and maintain statistics on treatment attendance.
- Maintain therapy equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform administrative duties as required, including filing and photocopying documents.
- Provide feedback on patient care issues to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the therapy department.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum WSQ Higher Certificate in Therapy Support or relevant years of experience considered in lieu of certification.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective collaboration with colleagues and patients.
- A patient-centered approach and enthusiasm for working in a community hospital environment.
