Job Title: Patient Care Assistant

Description

The primary role of a patient care assistant is to provide supportive care to patients under the supervision of healthcare professionals. This involves assisting with daily living activities, preparing treatment areas, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing equipment and treatment rooms to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Liaising between clients, therapists, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Documenting client responses to treatment and updating client files to maintain accurate records.
  • Performing basic prescribed treatments as instructed by healthcare professionals.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, as well as changing linen to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks , including ordering supplies, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in office software, such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
  • Keen attention to detail and a caring nature to provide quality care.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require physical strength.
