Job Title: Clinical Data Specialist

Clinical Data Specialists play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of healthcare data. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for translating narrative descriptions of diseases, injuries, and procedures into standardized codes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Accurately abstract relevant data from clinical documentation to translate into standardized codes.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest coding standards and best practices.
  • Manage and track daily workload reports.
  • Work closely with supervisors to continuously improve work processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Medical, Nursing, Health Science, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Relevant ICD coding experience is preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to read clinical documentation thoroughly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
