As a crucial member of our culinary team, the Food Preparation Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

  • This position is responsible for assisting the Cook with meal preparation and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

Key duties include preparing ingredients by washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fresh produce. The ideal candidate will also assist with unloading delivered food supplies and transferring meal ingredients to the kitchen as per the Cook's instructions.

The successful applicant will be required to stir and heat soups and sauces, and store and organize food supplies in designated areas. A strong focus on maintaining a clean and hygienic food preparation environment at all times is essential, including cleaning equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors, wiping down kitchen walls, and coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Additionally, the selected individual will record food wastages and maintain kitchen equipment, adhering to strict food safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.
  • A positive working attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, is necessary.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.
