Job Title

As a Mechanical Design Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the conception and development of chemical plants, incineration facilities, food waste treatment systems, water/wastewater management systems, offsites & utilities, and pollution abatement systems.

  • Design and Development: Review engineering standards/specifications/drawings, tender documents to ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations.
  • Preliminary and Detailed Design: Develop mechanical designs for process plant equipment, including specification, design calculation, equipment layout design, support design, and other related activities.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the BIM team to develop 3D models and ensure they align with the design requirements.
  • Project Management: Coordinate internal and external engineering activities to ensure project objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Equipment Procurement: Prepare mechanical equipment requisitions and ensure timely delivery in accordance with specifications.
  • Vendor Management: Conduct technical reviews of mechanical equipment/system vendors' proposals and submissions.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Coordinate with equipment/system vendors on mechanical design and installation work during project execution.
  • Documentation and Submission: Prepare mechanical technical submissions and liaise with stakeholders for approval.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and perform any other duties as requested by design lead/engineering management.
