Sterile Supplies Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide sterile and reusable surgical instruments and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the theatre supplies unit, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Operations: Manage the daily flow of surgical items, including receiving, sorting, decontaminating, inspecting, packaging, sterilizing, storing, and distributing.
  2. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper use and care of equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report defective equipment.
  3. Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory of sterile linen and surgical consumables supplies.
  4. Communication: Liaise with OT nurses, communicate essential information to colleagues, and maintain open lines of communication.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical credentials.
  • Experience: One year of working experience as an Instrument Technical Assistant or relevant experience in CSSD/TSSU.
  • Skills: Good interpersonal and supervisory skills, written English, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
