We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our maritime sector team. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training.

The key duties of this role include:

  • Liaising with clients on payment and invoice matters, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Reconciling customer accounts, investigating discrepancies, and resolving disputes.
  • Processing cash/credit allocations to invoices and debtors, preparing interoffice collection reports.
  • Handling credit control inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generating and issuing invoices to customers promptly.
  • Entering fixture slips into the invoicing system.
  • Providing support to the Credit Controller or Head of Finance on ad-hoc tasks.

Essential requirements:

  • Diploma degree
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patient, tactful, and meticulous
  • No prior experience required
