Job Title: Maritime Life Support Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and commissioning of life saving appliances (LSA) equipment on board vessels and in our workshop.

This is a hands-on role that requires the service engineer to work on board vessels and within the company's workshop located in Tuas.

  • Perform periodical inspections of LSA equipment such as winches, davits, lifeboats, and release hooks.
  • Maintain, overhaul, and test hydraulic parts such as hydraulic cylinders, stored power oil accumulators at company workshop or on board vessels.
  • E nsure the company workshop is well-kept, tools and equipment are clean and easily available to use.
  • Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair logs in the database.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To inspect, install, test, and maintain life saving appliances equipment on board vessels and in workshops.
  2. To develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.
  3. To ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations.
  4. To identify and report any defects or malfunctions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in repairs, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning work in the maritime industry.
  • Experience working on LSA equipment (winch, hooks, and davits).
  • Ability to solve challenging problems in stressful and time-constrained situations.
  • Available to travel overseas on board our customer's vessel.
