Maritime Operations Specialist Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in the successful deployment and maintenance of ITCH equipment onboard vessels during their voyages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions to ensure seamless integration of ITCH equipment, both physically and virtually.
  • Conduct meticulous verification checks onboard vessels at ports, terminals, or while at anchor to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Coordinate the delivery and return of equipment between storage warehouses and vessels within Singapore with precision and efficiency.
  • Perform updates as necessary, with arranged training by headquarters in Stavanger, Norway, ensuring up-to-date expertise.
  • Provide exceptional operational guidance and suggestions to enhance equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with local sales visits and product showcases when required, highlighting the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Execute miscellaneous tasks assigned to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Degree Requirements: Hold a diploma or higher in maritime studies or marine and offshore engineering.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience as a maritime deck cadet is preferred, providing valuable hands-on knowledge.
  • Voyage Participation: Ability to board vessels at various locations and participate in short voyages.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication, organizational, and reporting capabilities to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrate a detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and proactive approach to problem-solving and task execution.
  • Teamwork: Exhibit a team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute and collaborate towards common goals.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel overseas for training and work-related duties as needed.
