About the Role

As a Predictive Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working closely with teams from different disciplines within LTA, rail operators, and system manufacturers on the data and interfaces of rail assets. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement predictive models using machine learning techniques to improve asset management and maintenance outcomes over the lifecycle of assets.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. You will also be responsible for reviewing technical submissions, participating in testing and commissioning of predictive/analytical decision support systems, and providing technical leadership to the team in matters of statistics, data science, MLOps, and data engineering.

For senior positions, you will be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists/analytics in the team, as well as contribute to the development of technical strategies and policies related to data science and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement predictive models using machine learning techniques
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Review technical submissions and participate in testing and commissioning of predictive/analytical decision support systems
  • Provide technical leadership to the team in matters of statistics, data science, MLOps, and data engineering
  • Guide and mentor junior data scientists/analytics in the team
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong writing, presentation, coding, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with critical and logical thinking capability and must be able to work independently
  • Experience in (a) IT application, data analytics/machine learning, OR (b) System Engineering or Railway Engineering using data will be an advantage
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of SGD 120,000 - 180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
