Sourcing Expert for Medical Equipment

We are seeking a seasoned Sourcing Expert to oversee the procurement of materials and components critical to medical equipment manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in sourcing, expertise in supplier quality management, and familiarity with regulatory requirements.


About the Role:

This is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of the medical equipment industry and its supply chain dynamics. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers for raw materials, components, and services used in medical equipment manufacturing.


Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure high-quality materials and components from reliable suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and compliance
  • Analyze market trends, conduct cost breakdowns, and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as dual sourcing and inventory planning
  • Liaise between internal teams and suppliers to resolve critical supply chain disruptions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source materials that meet design and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Material, or related field)
  • 8-10 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in medical devices or highly regulated industries
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
