Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Equine Therapy Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing therapeutic support to special needs clients through interactions with our horses.

You will be responsible for safely handling and caring for the horses, ensuring their well-being and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This will involve preparing the horses for therapy sessions, including grooming, tacking, and leading.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely handle and care for horses, ensuring their well-being and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist in preparing horses for therapy sessions, including grooming, tacking, and leading.
  • Work collaboratively with our therapy team to facilitate equine-assisted therapy sessions for clients.
  • Support clients during therapy sessions, providing guidance, encouragement, and ensuring their safety.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with horses is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of equine care, handling, and grooming techniques.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team setting and under outdoor conditions, including hot weather.
  • A comfort level working with special needs individuals, including children and elderly clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliability, responsibility, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
