As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our financial strategy, aligning it with our business objectives and growth plans. You will oversee and manage profit and loss (P&L), revenue forecasting, and expense control.

You will collaborate closely with function heads to allocate budgets and support strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will include driving financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting and forecasting.

You will also collaborate with functional leaders to monitor key metrics, identify underlying business issues, and define unit economics, projections, and cost optimization strategies.

Additionally, you will work with the CEO to structure and present key financial metrics to investors on a monthly basis.

You will develop and manage a cross-functional metrics dashboard to track KPIs month-on-month.

Furthermore, you will provide strategic financial counsel to the team and leadership.

You will establish financial models and business cases to aid in the decision-making process.

You will prepare reports and handle financial due diligence.

You will partner with the accountant to establish and maintain robust accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Finally, you will lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize financial processes and operational efficiency.

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of progressive work experience in finance, with experience in finance strategy and ops roles.
  • Experience in a product-based startup, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Experience in taking ownership of the finance function.
  • Experience in establishing financial processes and frameworks from the ground up.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing financial models & strategies in an early stage startup environment.
  • Proven experience in KPI Analysis & Decision Making per Function, P&L, FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting, Finance documentation & processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working independently and thrives in a lean & small, fast-paced team environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of the finance function and process, capable of working autonomously and driving results without constant oversight.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
