Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Budgeting
Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process for all hotel operations, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, monitor and report on financial performance against the budget, providing variance analysis and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with hotel managers to create realistic and achievable financial forecasts.
Financial Performance ManagementAnalyse financial data and market trends to provide actionable insights that drive business performance, implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance across all hotel entities, and conduct financial reviews and evaluations to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Treasury and Cash ManagementManage the treasury function, ensuring optimal liquidity and investment of surplus funds, oversee cash flow planning, and ensure availability of funds as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions to secure favourable financing arrangements.
Audit and ComplianceEnsure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, both local and international, lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion, implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
Efficiency and ProfitabilityDrive efficiency and profitability by developing and implementing financial strategies that maximize revenue and minimize costs, provide financial leadership and guidance on operational issues to hotel management teams, and utilize advanced financial modelling and analysis to support decision-making and problem-solving.
Innovation and Problem-SolvingFoster a culture of innovation by encouraging out-of-the-box solutions to financial challenges. Quickly identify and address financial issues, providing strategic solutions to enhance business performance and stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive.
SOP Development and ImplementationHelp to create and implement new and improved SOPs to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency, ensure all financial processes and procedures are well-documented and consistently followed, and regularly review and update SOPs to reflect changes in regulations, technology, and business practices.
Leadership and Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement, foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to finance team members.
RequirementsWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and management in a multi-entity environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
The successful candidate will also possess superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly, and demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up-like environment.
