Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for children in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients.
- Ensure food safety and handling practices are followed at all times.
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods to meet nutritional requirements.
- Present and garnish final dishes to meet culinary standards.
- Serve food to customers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food properly.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of safe food handling procedures and temperature controls.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Basic math skills and ability to manage cash transactions.
