Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent Labour Support professional to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen operations, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and the team in ensuring efficient preparation and execution of all aspects of kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef and the team in ensuring efficient preparation and execution of all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Act as a coordination point for communication between Team Members, Executive Chef, and Executive Sous Chef.
  • Establish grooming standards that adhere to company policies and industry standards.
  • Assist Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in menu development, recipe card creation, and plating guides.
  • Be responsible for food production from delivery to guest plate, with control over step-by-step preparation.
  • Ensure quality of food items according to established standards.
  • Monitor food production to ensure compliance with prescribed recipes and specifications.
  • Adhere to food presentation, production, and portioning controls.
  • Preparation of mise en place for timely pre-preparation before rush hours and the next day.

Requirements:

  • Comply with and enforce strict hygiene policies on a daily basis.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in and around culinary work areas.
  • Ensure safe and proper use of equipment at all times.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and take pride in one's work.
  • Report to work on time and follow correct procedures for reporting sickness or absence.
