About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic individual to join our team as a News Reporter. As a key member of our news desk, you will be responsible for gathering and reporting local breaking news, as well as producing engaging and shareable content for our radio, television, and online platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and report local breaking news stories
- Produce compelling and shareable news content for radio, television, and online platforms
- Work with other desks and the online team to conceptualise and execute online-specific initiatives that appeal to audiences on television and online platforms
Requirements:
- Possess a sharp news sense with a good knowledge of local news and current affairs
- Have a flair for writing and storytelling with excellent command of the English Language
- Ability to exercise individual judgment and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good analytical skills, initiative, and resourcefulness
- A good degree in Economics, Political Science, Arts & Social Science, Journalism, or Mass Communication
