Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the distribution of drugs and ensuring a stringent and accurate inventory control system.

You will assist pharmacists with drug ordering, processing, and replenishment, as well as dispense and counsel patients on medications according to Good Dispensing Guidelines.

Your role will also involve providing professional and good customer service to all patients and staff, supervising, coaching, and training new pharmacy technicians and assistants in work processes, and helping out with clerical work and other administrative functions as assigned by pharmacists.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the distribution of drugs and ensure a stringent and accurate inventory control system
  • Assist pharmacists with drug ordering, processing, and replenishment
  • Dispense and counsel patients on medications according to Good Dispensing Guidelines
  • Provide professional and good customer service to all patients and staff
  • Supervise, coach, and train new pharmacy technicians and assistants in work processes
  • Help out with clerical work and other administrative functions as assigned by pharmacists

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Certificate in Pharmacy Technician course conducted by Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore or Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Science
  • At least one year of experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resourceful, organized, and able to work independently
  • Possess good analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
  • Open to working shift hours/weekends including night shifts
