Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at SHUN TAK REAL ESTATE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. in a luxury hotel setting. As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that our hotel rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and changing linens.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities and supplies, such as towels, linens, and toiletries.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues or damage to the Housekeeping Manager immediately.
  • Guest Service: Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or services, such as extra towels, pillows, or blankets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that our hotel standards are met.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure that guest needs are met.
  • Safety and Security: Follow all safety and security procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, reflecting the hotel's commitment to exceptional guest service.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel or resort/housekeeping operations is an added advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Cleaning Chemicals: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.
  • Responsibility: Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Emergency Response: Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts loaded with cleaning supplies and linens.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 15kg.
