Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Digital UI/UX Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create engaging and interactive user experiences.

About the Role

  • Develop graphics, illustrations, logos, and user interface elements using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understand client requirements, pain points, and team mission.
  • Design low-fi and high-fi wireframes, suggesting copywriting where applicable.
  • Assist in refining and enhancing user journeys and user experiences.
  • Plan and perform necessary user testing where applicable.
  • Articulate design concepts and required interactions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency and usability across devices and systems.
  • Build libraries and frameworks that support complex mobile applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with new industry trends in mobile application development.
  • Ability to clearly communicate research and design ideas to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in start-up, agency, studio, or in-house environments, preferably in financial services or fintech.
  • Solid understanding of current UI design practices to create efficient and seamless user experiences.
  • Knowledge of full design systems to ensure products scale effectively.
  • Proven work experience as a Digital UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Experience troubleshooting, prototyping, gathering requirements, and supporting mobile app development.
  • Familiarity with back-end and regulation in banking is an asset.
  • Experience in refining and copywriting is a plus.
  • Possess a good portfolio demonstrating illustrations or other graphics.
  • Able to showcase a minimum of three diverse use cases as part of the interview process.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Experience in using design and prototyping tools such as Sketch and XD.
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environments methodically and meet deadlines.
