Senior Laboratory Operations Coordinator

The Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of laboratory operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the laboratory, guaranteeing compliance with established operating standards.
This includes coordinating the activities of a team of laboratory assistants who are responsible for testing, inspecting, and checking raw materials, goods in process, and finished products. The supervisor prioritizes tasks to optimize resource utilization, ensures work schedules and targets are met, and coordinates preventive and corrective actions with production teams.
In addition, this role assists the QC Manager in classifying final products and reworked lots, troubleshoots and investigates quality issues, and implements improvements based on analysis gap studies. The supervisor also monitors in-process samples and liaises with production teams to prevent and address quality-related issues.
Other key responsibilities include preparing activity and progression reports to identify recurring problems with product quality or testing procedures, monitoring staff, equipment, and laboratory processes to ensure quality control system effectiveness and efficiency, and providing training to laboratory assistants and shift technicians.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of laboratory equipment, such as GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR, etc., and have hands-on experience in laboratory testing, particularly in wet chemistry. They should also be able to supervise and lead a team effectively and demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills.
