Role Overview

Careers@Gov is seeking a skilled professional to drive capability development in the Mental Health and Community cluster. The ideal candidate will engage with Social Service Agencies (SSAs) to identify, evaluate, and support the adoption and implementation of various capability development initiatives in digitalisation, people practice, and volunteer management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage SSAs within the assigned cluster to identify and support the adoption of capability development initiatives.
  • Ensure SSA capability development plans are in place and documented.
  • Guide the use of evaluation tools and frameworks, ensuring compliance with sector requirements.
  • Monitor progress and provide timely intervention to ensure initiatives are on track.
  • Review and process funding applications from SSAs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance SSA capability development.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and empathy skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a high level of initiative.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
  • Adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the social service sector.
  • Able to navigate within the sector and between the government and the sector.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
