Pacific Trade Strategist

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Transpacific trade efforts, driving business growth and optimization through strategic planning, carrier relations, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute trade strategies for the US West Coast, US East Coast, and Canada markets.
Monitor trade performance, adjusting pricing and allocation as needed to meet business objectives.
Foster strong relationships with carriers, negotiating slot agreements and sailing schedules to ensure efficient cargo flow.
Provide weekly and monthly trade performance reports, analyzing market trends and identifying areas for improvement.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and overseas agents to optimize cargo flow and drive revenue growth.
Lead trade promotions and customer targeting campaigns to expand our customer base.
Prepare and present business cases for new services or adjustments to senior management.

Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in shipping, preferably in containerized trade dynamics and yield management.
Strong understanding of US FMC regulations and commercial skills to negotiate effectively with carriers and customers.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI; ability to analyze data and present findings to stakeholders.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive team performance and achieve business objectives.
Good command of English and Chinese (spoken and written); additional regional languages are an asset.
Able to travel occasionally to attend industry events and meetings.
