Job Description:

As a Mechanical Engineer with project management expertise, you will oversee the execution of engineering projects from basic to commissioning and completion. Your goal is to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

  • Manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects
  • Review project requirements, contractor specifications, and drawings in liaison with the project team
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, resources allocation, and management strategies
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site engineering services between contractors and internal teams to maintain control of construction, including site safety, supervision, and safe work permit coordination
  • Review technical problems arising during construction, ensuring significant matters are formally resolved between contractors and internal teams
  • Report to project managers and liaise with other discipline engineers to ensure proper coordination and interface among different disciplines
Requirements:

You must have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a project engineering role. A proven track record of successfully managing projects from detail engineering to completion hand-over is essential.

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes (ASME/API/TEMA), and standards (local-Singapore Standard Code of Practice & international) is also required. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and be posted overseas for long-term assignments is desired.
