HSEQ Manager Job Summary

This is a high-profile opportunity to lead the development and implementation of HSEQ related projects for ship management strategy division energy. As a seasoned professional with expertise in safety management systems, smartPAL HSEQ, monitoring and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and mobile app project support, you will play a key role in shaping our organization's health, safety, environment, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management System Implementation: Develop and implement effective safety management systems, including tasks related to manuals and fleet notices, accident investigation and analysis, and cyber security of vessel ICT systems.
  • smartPAL HSEQ: Collaborate with stakeholders to follow up on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) issues, support the construction and maintenance of companies' HSEQ module in PAL, and identify users' requirements and propose solutions.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and analyze Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), review and analyze HSEQ scores, fleet audit and inspection outcomes, and advise on measures to improve fleet performance.
  • Assist with HSEQ and Certification: Support certification processes, day-to-day crewing issues, smartPAL HSEQ, Quality Document Management System (QDMS), and other HSEQ-related tasks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders to plan for future deployments and unification efforts, and support PMS/DD/Purchase PICs in ICT Strategies Team.
  • Mobile App Project Support: Assist in implementing a Mobile App project for LG (Liquefied Gas) and Tanker operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Credentials: Deck Class 1 Certificate of Competency
  • Experience: At least 10 years' shore experience in Major ship management company or Oil Major
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of ISM (International Safety Management Code), ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), MLC (Maritime Labor Convention), TMSA (Tanker Management and Self-Assessment), SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Program), and ISO standards
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Soft Skills: Good organizational and communication skills, positive attitude, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team player
  • Language Skills: Good command of spoken and written English
  • Documentation Skill: Excellent documentation skills
  • Negotiation Skill: Strong negotiation skills and ability to build consensus
