Mainframe Developer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development lifecycle, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality mainframe applications.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technology, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other relevant tools and technologies. You will work closely with our team to analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement them using agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and design solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Develop, test, and deliver high-quality mainframe applications using agile methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our development processes.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in mainframe development and 3+ years in the financial services industry.
  • Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, Changeman, Expeditor, IBM developer(IDZ), Tivoli workload scheduler (TWS), and other mainframe tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues independently.
  • Experience with automated/manual testing methodologies, CI/CD, and GitLab facilitated software delivery.
  • Familiarity with webservices (SOAP/REST) and supported data structures such as XML, JSON.
  • Understanding of electronic client reporting (SWIFT/ISO20022) is an advantage.
