The role of an Equipment Maintenance Specialist involves maintaining and supporting backend equipment operations, ensuring seamless integration with engineering and manufacturing teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on a range of equipment, including Laser Marking, Ball Attach, Reflow Oven, Dicing, AOI, Tape and Reel, and Packing Station.
  • Providing line sustaining support to manufacturing teams, including machine conversion, device setup, and jig and tool maintenance.
  • Documenting equipment preventive maintenance in accordance with process and equipment specifications.
  • Collaborating with the engineering group on device and recipe creation, equipment buy-off, evaluation, qualification, and new product introduction.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance yield, equipment modification, and productivity.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Material Science.
  • Strong interest in semiconductor backend processes and equipment.
  • Prior hands-on experience in semiconductor backend operations or similar high-volume manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Understanding of equipment operation principles, such as Laser Marking, AOI, Dicing, Reflow, or Packaging.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, specifications, and technical drawings.
