Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a skilled communications professional to join our team as a Principal Communications Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives to enhance our reputation, visibility, and brand equity.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to the development of effective communication plans aligned with our organizational objectives.

  • Develop and coordinate strategic communication plans that align with our organizational goals
  • Establish and nurture relationships with different business units to identify communication opportunities and risks
  • Lead a team of communications professionals, fostering a collaborative culture, and overseeing their development
  • Ensure effective delegation and coordination of tasks to achieve department goals and project deliverables
  • Develop implementation and reporting frameworks to optimize the use of resources for communication activities
  • Provide strategic communication advisory to internal/external clients and stakeholders
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication activities to enhance planning and strategies
  • Support the operations of the Communications Department by carrying out delegated tasks

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A Master's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Alternatively, you may have at least 15 years of progressive experience in communications, with a focus on strategic communication, media relations, and public relations.

You must have a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and campaigns, as well as strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.

In addition, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.

Familiarity with our thematic focus areas such as green infrastructure, private capital mobilization, technology-enabled infrastructure, and climate finance is also desirable.
