Key Role: Valuation Expert

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced valuation expert to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our Corporate Finance and Quantitative Valuation group, you will be responsible for performing complex financial valuations, building and analysing financial models, and providing expert advice to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing independent valuations for complex financial instruments, businesses, tangible and intangible assets, including derivatives and structured products, equity and debt securities, for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, dispute resolution, financial reporting, restructuring, and financial advisory services.
  • Building and analysing financial models, assessing assumptions and data underlying the model, and researching industry best practices on valuation models and techniques.
  • Pitching for new work, preparing and presenting proposals, building and maintaining client relationships, supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on valuation and valuation-related services, and working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic background with a Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computational Finance, or related field. Professional qualification in accounting (e.g., CPA) or finance certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in valuation acquired within an accounting, professional services firm, or a reputable organisation.
