Electrical Contract Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled contract manager to oversee the tendering process, contract management, and compliance for electrical projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Management: Developing, coordinating, and submitting tenders for electrical projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
  • Contract Administration: Managing electrical contracts, including contract review, negotiation, and administration.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensuring compliance with contract terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with electrical contracts and tenders.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contract Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, including records of contract changes, variations, and claims.
  • Tender Analysis: Analyzing tender documents, identifying opportunities, risks, and potential issues.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Electrical Industry Experience: Proven experience in contract management and tendering in the electrical industry.
  • Contract Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract management principles, including contract law and regulatory requirements.
  • Tendering Experience: Experience in managing tenders, including tender development, submission, and negotiation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with ability to identify and mitigate risks.

The following qualifications are desirable:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field: Relevant degree or diploma in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Contract Management Certification: Certification in contract management, such as CIDB or equivalent, is an advantage.
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as ISO 9001 or equivalent, are desirable.
