Job Title: Strategic Communications Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Communications Officer to join our team. This is a 6-month contract position that offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of communications projects, from developing marketing strategies to creating engaging content for various platforms.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing communication strategies to support organisational goals.
  • Create high-quality content for online and offline platforms, including EDMs, posters, newsletters, displays, brochures, and social media posts.
  • Enhance visibility and engagement across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Support internal communication by drafting speeches, messages, newsletters, and content for townhalls.
  • Manage media relations, including media monitoring, drafting press releases, and coordinating press events.
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure optimal user experience. Monitor SEO trends and effectiveness, refining strategies and addressing gaps to improve online visibility.
  • Utilise analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness, refine strategies and address any gaps to meet performance targets.
  • Prepare reports, statistics, and presentations to communicate all marketing communication outcomes and insights.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Comms or a related field, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should also be able to commit to the 6-month contract period and have a strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
