  • Implementing SHMS: Develop and implement a comprehensive Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
  • EHS Promotional Activities: Plan and execute EHS promotional activities to foster a culture of good EHS practices among site personnel.
  • EHS Recommendations: Provide practical and effective EHS recommendations to team members to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Motivating and Coaching: Motivate, coach, and counsel site workforce on EHS matters, with a focus on recalcitrant personnel.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate the work of team members, allocate tasks, and provide effective supervision.
  • Risk Assessment: Lead the risk assessment team at site and participate in the corporate Risk Management organization.
  • Project Briefing: Brief project managers and teams on the execution status of the overall safety program.
  • Safety Orientations: Conduct safety orientations and daily safety toolbox meetings as required.
  • EHS Committee: Conduct monthly EHS Committee meetings with the company and subcontractors.
  • Stop Work Orders: Recommend Stop Work Orders to project managers when unsafe conditions arise.
  • Client Meetings: Attend client and consultant safety meetings and weekly coordination and technical meetings.
  • Investigations: Lead investigations and maintain records for first aid cases, accidents, and near misses at the work site.
  • Emergency Drills: Conduct emergency drills periodically.
  • Site Inspections: Inspect site facilities and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition and do not pose environmental health hazards.
  • Environmental Health: Identify and discuss environmental health irregularities and recommend measures to rectify them.
Requirements:
  • Skills: Water, construction, risk assessment, housekeeping, workplace safety, ISO, risk management, environmental health, ISO 9001, first aid, audits, Excel, EHS, workplace safety and health.
