Corporate Loans Relationship Manager Job Description

 

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients, understanding their financial requirements and business goals.

 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for SME clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and efficiently.

 

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses, industries, and market dynamics to provide tailored financial solutions.

 

  • Identify and source new lending opportunities within the SME segment, including prospecting and lead generation activities.

 

  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and risk analyses for loan applicants, evaluating their creditworthiness, financial stability, and repayment capacity.

 

  • Structure and negotiate loan terms and conditions in accordance with lending policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.

 

  • Manage a portfolio of SME loan accounts, monitoring loan performance, repayment behavior, and compliance with loan agreements.

 

  • Proactively identify and address potential credit risks or delinquencies, implementing appropriate remedial actions as necessary.

 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as credit analysts and legal teams, to ensure timely and accurate loan documentation and processing.

 

  • Provide financial advisory services to SME clients, offering insights and recommendations on business growth strategies, cash flow management, and capital allocation.

 

  • Assist clients in preparing loan applications and supporting documentation, guiding them through the loan approval and disbursement process.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in commercial banking, SME lending, or relationship management, with a focus on business development and credit analysis.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully originating and managing SME loan portfolios, achieving lending targets, and mitigating credit risks.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to evaluate business financial statements, assess credit risk factors, and perform cash flow modeling.
  • Familiarity with credit underwriting standards, loan structuring techniques, and risk mitigation strategies in the SME lending context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the SME community, including business owners, industry associations, and referral partners.
