Culinary Innovator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to oversee pastry and bakery operations in a dynamic team environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury hotel setting, with strong expertise in pastry cuisine and specialization in Japanese pastries preferred.

Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise daily operations in the pastry kitchen, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and efficient use of resources.
  2. Maintain quality standards by conducting regular tastings and inspections to ensure freshness, presentation, and flavor meet the highest expectations.
  3. Lead the pastry team to deliver exceptional pastries in a high-volume, luxury setting.
  4. Communicate effectively with line cooks to ensure timely service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Key Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong expertise in pastry cuisine, with specialization in Japanese pastries preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage cost control, labor, and waste while maintaining quality and financial objectives.
  • Experience in producing high-quality pastries in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong knowledge of local ingredients and seasonal produce.
  • A proactive leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
