Occupational Therapy Specialist

The role of an occupational therapy specialist involves conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for patients requiring occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess patients, implementing tailored treatment plans in adherence to clinical standards.
  • Regularly review patient progress throughout their care continuum.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and detailed documentation.
  • Practice within professional competence, seeking support from supervisors or other healthcare professionals when necessary.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare members.
  • Participation in managing clinical initiatives and contributing to departmental training programs.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Interest in working with geriatric, neurology, orthopedic, hand therapy, and palliative care populations. Prior experience in these areas is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
