Job Description:
The role of Principal Software Architect is a key position in our company, responsible for leading a team of developers to design, develop, code, test, and debug applications that meet business requirements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading Product Leads, Technical Leads, and development teams in designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging applications.
- Managing all software development activities, setting goals for each team member, ensuring timely product delivery, and quality code.
- Quantifying product delivery of each team member and working on continuous improvements.
- Defining product development scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Providing guidance to the team and ensuring adherence to development standards.
- Ensuring adherence to software development methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather business requirements.
- Managing software development budgets and expenses.
- Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions.
- Identifying training and skill development needs for the team.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in the supply chain industry and logistics products development.
- Agile Framework Certification.
- Proven experience as a developer and leading development teams.
- Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with several Java platform technologies, such as JavaEE, DOM/SAX, Annotation, AOP, DI, REST, workflow, etc., and infra layer technology like Docker.
- Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) / Business Driven Development (BDD).
- Familiarity with common frameworks/tools like Spring Security, Hibernate, Redis, Kafka, ELK(Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana for log analysis).
- Able to apply low-code or use available open packages to fast-track development life cycle.
- Effective management of remote development using processes and tools.
- Continuous improvement and enhancement of products to meet latest market needs.
Salary Range:
We offer a competitive salary range of SGD $120,000 - SGD $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
