Job Title: Sustainability Manager

The role of the Sustainability Manager is to play a pivotal part in advancing the company's ESG and climate strategy. This involves integrating climate and biodiversity risk assessments, executing decarbonisation targets, and publishing ESG disclosures aligned with global frameworks.

This position requires collaboration across business units to embed sustainability into operations and investments, while ensuring transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance on sustainability to support the implementation of the company's ESG strategy.
  • Keep abreast of emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
ESG Strategy Execution:
  • Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities across the company and its business units.
  • Support the development of mitigation and adaptation plans to address identified ESG risks.
  • Conduct climate-related risk and opportunity assessments in line with TCFD recommendations.
  • Evaluate biodiversity-related risks and incorporate nature-based considerations into sustainability planning.
Policy and Governance:
  • Lead the development and periodic review of ESG-related policies, standards, and frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements and international ESG standards (e.g. GRI, ISSB, CSRD).
Decarbonisation Planning and Carbon Management:
  • Lead carbon footprint assessments across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 (GHG emissions from direct, indirect, and value chain sources).
  • Develop and execute decarbonisation strategies aligned with national and international targets.
  • Monitor and report on emissions reduction progress and sustainability-linked KPIs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with senior management, business units, and support functions to embed ESG into operations.
  • Represent the organisation in industry forums, regulatory consultations, and ESG-related engagements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in sustainability or ESG-related roles, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Proven track record in ESG reporting and strategy implementation.
  • Experience with ESG data platforms, assurance processes, and global sustainability standards.
  • Hands-on exposure to Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark requirements.
