Faculty Position in Maritime Management

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is a key player in this mission, with a vision to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. With over 50 faculty members and 1,500 students, CEE is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities, addressing critical problems in urban systems such as building structures and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks.

We are seeking a candidate with an established international reputation in the research and education of Maritime and Supply Chain Management. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong inclination towards the domain of Maritime Management and Shipping, and be an authority in at least one area within the domain. Specialization in supply chain resilience, decarbonisation, and digitalisation is preferred.

Requirements

  • A relevant PhD from a reputable university
  • Extensive research and teaching experience in Maritime and Supply Chain Management
  • Successful track record of academic/research leadership and team building
  • Experience in cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration
  • Well-developed understanding of the priorities, operation and strategies of relevant funding bodies
  • Strong network and ties with renowned international entities and organisations
  • Internationally acclaimed with presentations such as plenary and/or keynote addresses at flagship conferences and prestigious journal publications
