IT Risk Management Specialist

About the Role

The IT Risk Management Specialist plays a vital part in safeguarding our organization's technology infrastructure and operations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks.

This position requires a professional with strong analytical skills and expertise in risk assessment methodologies, industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and PDPA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Risk Identification & Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks or security gaps across different business functions.
  2. Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PDPA, and other applicable standards by preparing for internal and external IT audits, gathering evidence, managing documentation, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  3. Incident Monitoring & Reporting: Assist in tracking and responding to IT security incidents, coordinate with other teams to resolve issues, maintain an incident log and report on security incidents and corrective actions taken.
  4. Policy and Procedure Development: Support the development, review, and update of IT risk policies, procedures, and guidelines ensuring that IT risk management policies are properly implemented and adhered to across the organization.
  5. Training & Awareness: Provide IT risk awareness training for employees ensuring they are informed about key security practices and compliance requirements create awareness materials on best practices in information security and risk management.
  6. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on IT risk activities audit findings and compliance status for management and regulatory bodies develop key metrics to track the effectiveness of IT risk management initiatives.
  7. Vendor Risk Management: Assess third-party vendor risks ensuring that external partners comply with the organization's IT security and risk management standards coordinate vendor reviews and manage IT-related risks from external service providers.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Risk Management or a related field.
  2. 2-3 years of experience in IT risk management cybersecurity or related roles.
  3. Familiarity with industry standards such as PCI DSS ISO 27001 ISO 27701 and PDPA regulations.
  4. Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and cybersecurity frameworks.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  6. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  7. You must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident (PR).
