Job Opportunity: Airfreight Operations Professional

">Job Description:

As an airfreight operations professional, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of airfreight operations, including booking, documentation, shipment tracking, and billing. This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills to effectively coordinate with airlines, ground handling agents, transporters, and customs for timely cargo clearance and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle import and export airfreight operations

• Prepare and process shipping documents such as AWBs, permits, invoices, and packing lists

• Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues or delays with relevant parties

• Coordinate closely with customers and internal departments to meet service expectations and special handling requirements

• Ensure data accuracy and timely updates in the freight management system

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including job costing and billing verification

• Maintain proper filing and documentation in accordance with company policy and audit requirements

• Support quality and compliance matters, including adherence to aviation security and customs regulations

• Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to support budget planning and manage vendor costs.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in airfreight operations (import/export)

• Knowledge of airfreight procedures, customs documentation, and cargo systems (e.g., Cargowise, Tradenet) is preferred

• Proficient in MS Office applications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach

• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
