Deathcare Specialist Job Description

As a skilled deathcare specialist, you will play a vital role in preparing deceased individuals for viewings, funerals, and burials. Your expertise will encompass both technical proficiency and emotional intelligence to ensure the deceased are preserved and presented with dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embalming Procedures: Conduct embalming procedures to preserve and sanitize deceased bodies, adhering to established techniques and local health and safety regulations.
  • Body Preparation: Dress and groom deceased individuals, ensuring a respectful and dignified appearance, including setting features and repairing damaged or disfigured areas.
  • Collaboration with Funeral Directors: Work closely with funeral directors to understand family wishes and coordinate funeral arrangements, providing guidance on options related to embalming and body preparation.
  • Sanitation and Infection Control: Comply with strict sanitation and infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment, disposing of waste and biohazard materials according to regulations.
