Job Description:

A Public Communication Specialist plays a vital role in planning and executing public and digital communication efforts to support national objectives.

The primary goal is to preserve and strengthen public trust and confidence in national defence, National Service, and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive publicity plans for mainstream and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with media organizations on feature stories.
  • Draft responses to forum letters and media queries.
  • Design local and international media engagement strategies.
  • Manage public communications during incidents and unplanned events.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education in Communication Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences, or Information and Communication Technology/Digital Media.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in another language (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Keen interest in Singapore's media, political, defence, and security developments.
  • Good understanding of Singapore's media landscape.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
