Structural Engineer Job Opportunity

This role offers a chance to work as a structural engineer, planning, designing, and overseeing construction and structural engineering works. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with design, safety, and regulatory requirements.

The key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents. This involves preparing and submitting inspection requests for structural works, including Inspection Forms for RTO inspections.

Additionally, the role requires coordinating and carrying out site inspections with the RTO, consultants, and relevant authorities. Managing and monitoring QA/QC control of structural works is also crucial, ensuring quality standards and project specifications are met.

Supervising structural construction activities to ensure workmanship, materials, and methods comply with design intent and code requirements is essential. Identifying, reporting, and resolving technical and site issues in a timely manner is also required.

Preparing progress reports, method statements, and technical documentation is a vital part of this role. Liaising with project managers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution is also necessary.

In order to excel in this position, you should have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent. At least 3 years of relevant experience in structural works within the construction industry is also required.

A strong knowledge of structural codes, standards, and local regulatory requirements is necessary. Experience in preparing inspection requests, QA/QC documentation, and liaising with RTOs and authorities is also beneficial.
