1-SPRING PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As the second-in-command, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction by employing your culinary and managerial skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that guests receive an exceptional dining experience, representing true value for money.
  • Recipe Management: Ensure that all recipes and product yields are accurately costed and reviewed regularly.
  • Food Preparation: Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards, maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Leadership: Make recommendations to the Head Chef regarding succession planning and fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise all stewards and their activities within the culinary department.
  • Administrative Tasks: Administer and file weekly work schedules and annual leave planners correctly.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Initiate relevant maintenance reports and work orders, following up on actioned items.
  • Guest Feedback: Work closely with the Operations Manager and teams to collect guest feedback and focus on improvement and development.
  • Work Environment: Create a positive and safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in Japanese cuisine.
  • Certifications: Must have completed a Basic Food Hygiene course.
  • Skills: Fair and firm management abilities, high influencing skills, creative and innovative, hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, initiative, and self-motivation.
  • Training and Coaching: Ideal training and coaching skills.
  • Availability: Ability to work on weekends and public holidays in a fast-paced working environment.
