Job Title: Mechanical Operations Manager

This is a key leadership position that oversees the mechanical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Review project contracts to guarantee adherence to design, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Assess mechanical design documents, commissioning plans, and method statements; provide comments within contractual turnaround times
  • Collaborate with Owner's Engineer and EPC consortium on contractual, technical, and quality matters
  • Evaluate legal and regulatory requirements for applicability in mechanical design and execution
  • Verify and approve ITPs, FQPs, and MQPs for mechanical works, ensuring quality adherence during execution
  • Ensure HSE compliance in alignment with local regulatory standards throughout all project phases
  • Develop and implement improved methods and procedures to enhance contractor execution efficiency
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and coordinate with EPC for implementation and cost savings
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to assess feasibility and impact of project improvements
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to finalize designs and construction interfaces
  • Prepare and submit periodic work plans and progress reports to management
  • Measure mechanical work progress, verify, and certify monthly invoices from EPC consortium
  • Monitor site performance and contractor activities; provide input on development of owner's project procedures
  • Oversee safe and compliant execution of contractor field activities
  • Manage interface coordination between mechanical, electrical, and civil works to ensure smooth project execution
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical operations and project management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Proven track record of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
  • Experience with contract review and administration
  • Knowledge of mechanical design documents, commissioning plans, and method statements
